Restoring the Mind, Body, and Spirit

At Sleep and Brain, our health spa and wellness services are designed to bridge the gap between clinical excellence and holistic restoration. We offer specialized, non-medical treatments that target the autonomic nervous system and physical tension to promote deep healing and vibrant health.

Intraoral Massage Therapy

Deep Release for Airway and Mind-Body Health As a signature health spa treatment, our Intraoral Massage Therapy provides targeted relief for the muscles of the jaw, mouth, and neck. This restorative therapy is essential for those struggling with TMJ tension, snoring, or restricted airway function. By releasing deep-seated physical stress, we facilitate a profound state of relaxation that supports the health and well-being of the spirit and body.

Unlocking the Deep Stabilizers

As shown in this anatomical model of the inside of the right lower jaw, we target the muscles responsible for clenching and airway restriction.

By precisely working the Medial Pterygoid and the Floor of the Mouth and Tongue Muscles from inside the mouth, we are able to reduce chronic jaw tension and improve the tongue’s resting position. This is the anatomical key to a clearer, less restricted airway during sleep.

Accessing the “Clicking” Mechanism

This image displays the outer structure of the jaw hinge. Utilizing a specialized pincer grasp, we access both the inside and outside of the powerful Masseter muscle simultaneously for maximum release.

We also meticulously target the Lateral Pterygoid, the critical muscle that controls the TMJ disc. Releasing this deep stabilizer is often the breakthrough needed to eliminate jaw clicking and popping.

Crucially, by reaching high inside the cheek, we directly release the Temporalis tendon where it anchors to the jawbone (i.e., the coronoid process). Addressing this hidden tension point provides profound relief for the fan-like temporalis muscle above the temple, tackling the root cause of chronic tension headaches and jaw fatigue.
